Hello, I’m Erica Bowen, PhD

– Registered Forensic Psychologist, Chartered Coaching Psychologist, former Full Professor, Yoga Nidra Facilitator, and someone who believes that to navigate complexity you need to harness the power of the mind and the body.

There's a particular kind of stuck that doesn't announce itself loudly. It arrives quietly - in the gap between who you've been and who you sense you're becoming. In the exhaustion that sits just below competence. In the feeling that the map you've been following no longer matches the terrain.

My work sits at the intersection of psychological depth, embodied practice, and creative inquiry. I bring together coaching, havening, and yoga nidra - alongside the surprisingly powerful medium of clay - to support people in doing more than coping. To help them find their way back to themselves, and then forward, with intention.

I work with people who are thoughtful, often high-achieving, and mid-way through something significant - a career pivot, a loss, a life chapter closing. People who know that insight alone isn't enough, and that real change lives in the body as much as the mind.

What I offer isn't a fixed programme with a guaranteed outcome. It's a carefully held space, shaped around you, drawing on approaches that work at multiple levels: the cognitive and the somatic, the reflective and the creative, the individual and the relational.

If any of this resonates, you're in the right place.

Restorative Workshops and Retreats

Small, carefully crafted gatherings that draw on my EMERGE Blueprint (TM) Framework, yoga nidra, and somatic practice. Whether you join a half-day workshop or a longer retreat, these spaces are designed to help you rest, reflect, and reconnect - not with a version of yourself you used to be, but with who you are becoming.

Professional Supervision and Reflective Practice

For practitioners and practice-focused business owners who need a thinking space that's genuinely their own. Whether you're navigating the complexities of clinical or organisational work, or simply need a confidential space to process and grow - this is where we slow down to go further.

Coaching with Clay Workshops

There's something that happens when you put your hands in clay and step away from words for a while. These workshop experiences combine psychological coaching with the grounding, expressive work of ceramics - held at beautiful locations and guided by the insight that creativity is not a luxury, but a route home to yourself. Designed especially for women in midlife transition, and available for small professional groups too.

Your Invitation to begin...

I offer complimentary discovery conversations to understand your situation and discuss how psychologically-informed approaches might serve your goals.

In our conversation, we’ll explore:

  • What’s prompting you to consider a different approach at this time

  • The specific challenges or opportunities you’re navigating

  • How evidence-based, human-centred methods might serve your situation

  • Which pathway feels most relevant to your current needs and timeline

  • Whether this approach resonates with your values and vision

This isn’t about convincing you to choose this path – it’s about helping you understand whether it’s right for your current journey.
